Floral Doodle Procreate Stamp Collection

I started my Procreate journey in 2020 when I bought my first iPad Pro. It was the gateway to a new passion that I never knew I was missing in my life. Prior to learning Procreate I always said I “can’t draw a stick figure to save my life” and to be honest that was true. Give me a piece of paper and a pencil and I would just blank out. I come from a family full of artists and have spent most of my life longing to be even a fraction as good as they are in the creative process…but nothing would ever quite click with me.

When I discovered Procreate my first use for it was to create painterly backdrops for my photoshoots. Then I used it to do some minor photo editing…nothing like I was doing in Photoshop, but when I needed to make a quick head swap, Procreate was just faster and easier to jump into and get the work done.

After closing my portrait studio because of the pandemic I knew that I need to keep my hands busy and the iPad was just the right tool. I would spend my nights using digital coloring pages to help calm me at the end of the night and when that just wasn’t enough, I started creating my own coloring pages.

Creating coloring pages has always been a fun and relaxing creative process for me and something that was invaluable to me to learn the ins and outs of Procreate. The number one place that I started was Stamp Brush Sets.

I have purchased and downloaded hundreds of stamp sets. They are a great way for beginner artists and Procreate users to gain experience and learn how to use the app.

Procreate Stamp Sets are a great way to encourage creativity and to help you learn the software at a low entry cost. However, there are some that discourage the use of Stamps due to the nature of those who think it’s not being creative or making your own art…to those people I say…bite me! lol!

Making art is making art! You don’t have to be an expert at it and it doesn’t need to be hard for it to be art.

THERE IS NO CHEATING IN ART!!!

Scott Sava Art on TikTok

One of the things that really struck me to the core was this video by Scott Sava.

He is an incredible artist and creator and I love the point that he makes here. There is no cheating in art! Now, don’t steal someone’s art and recreate it exactly and call it yours…that is stealing! However, use a stencil, trace a face, use a reference image…or dare I say use a stamp…just make art!!!

I find that stamps are a valuable tool in the creative process.

If I were to buy hundreds of stencils of various shapes and styles and mix and matched them all together to create a sketch and then painted it…would you say that I wasn’t an artist and what I made wasn’t art? NO! So why not use the same tools in digital art as you would in traditional art…it’s the same thing! Ok so I’ll get off my soapbox now…but I hope you understand my passion for the subject and give yourself a little grace in the process of learning and creating.

I certainly plan on reviewing many other Procreate Stamp Brush Sets on here and hope that you will enjoy adding these amazing tools to your tool belt in Procreate. One of the number one things that I look for in a stamp set is the ability to mix and match the stamps in a variety of ways to create my own unique creations.

One of the benefits of the Floral Doodle, Stamp Set is that it has a wide variety of single stem flowers, flowers without stems, and leaves that can be mixed and matched together to make your own floral bouquet. As a bonus, you can use these stamps in either a filled stamp or a line art stamp. Though I tend to lean more toward the lined art stamps having the option for both does open up a lot of options. With 60 different and unique stamps in this set the options are very open for a ton of unique creations.
